Canon Digital SLR lens question?

I have a digital Canon Rebel. Was wondering what the difference between the EF Lenses, the EF-S lenses and the "L" series lenses?

EF lenses can be used on all EOS bodies. EF-S lenses can be used on APS-C (1.6x crop) bodies such as 350D, 400D, 30D & 40D. EF-S lenses cannot be used on 5D or 1 series bodies. L lenses are professional grade lenses. They usually have better optical and build quality.
