Lenses for Canon digital SLR’s?

I’m looking into buying a digital slr but also want to get a variety of lenses. The Canon EOS Rebel XS or T1i are the two I am debating on. Do I need to use Canon lenses on their cameras, or could I find cheaper brands that also work on a Canon?

Can canon digital slr cameras hook up to a computer?

just wondering. like with a usb cable and such.
Any digital camera should be able to. Its an Integral part of the concept. Along with firewire and USB 2, you should also look for the ability to remove the memory card in the camera and put it in a card reader, also built into the computer.

Do all canon digital slr cameras come with color screens on the back?

i mean are there any with out or just black and white?
They’ve always been color.
But along these lines, older DSLRs did not have live view; you had to look through the viewfinder to compose and the screen was only for menus and picture review.

Do Canon SLR film camera lenses fit on a digital Rebel digital SLR?

I am trying to find a good 50mm lens for my Digital Rebel and see that the film Canon SLR lenses are much cheaper.
Any of the Canon EF and EF-S lenses will work with your Rebel DSLR.
