I have a Canon EOS digital SLR camera and every picture I take there is a blemish in the left hand corner?

I know this is debris in the camera but how can I get rid of it?
remove the lense and use a puffer brush to remove it.

just wondering which, people thought generally was a more professional brand with a wider range of SLR's.
Depends on your price range but I like the Cannons and the Sonys for a medium price range.
I also like the Cannons for the ultra high end price range.
